SUMMARY:VRA Fall Conference 2026\, Exploring the Multiple Expressivities of Clay
DESCRIPTION:The Vancouver Reggio Association is pleased to announce that we will be welcoming Matteo Bini (Atelierista) and Alessia Forghieri (Pedagogista) from Reggio Children to our Fall Conference. \nThis year’s conference will explore the expressive and transformative potential of clay in early childhood contexts. \nAlessia and Matteo will be sharing documentation and reflections from their clay project with the Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres in Reggio Emilia. For more info about our presenters\, please click on their name. \nINFORMATION FOR ATTENDEES \nThe conference will be hosted at York House School. 4176 Alexandra Street\, Vancouver\, BC V6J 2V6\nhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/7F5YYJVMdhFTxxYp8 \nParking is limited\, so we encourage people to carpool. A street and neighbourhood parking map can be found here. \nYork House School can be reach via transit and a short walk with either Bus #10 along Granville Street or Bus #25 along King Edward Ave. \nOctober 23\, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Registration opens at 8:30 AM. Welcome\, coffee and tea \nOct 24\, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Doors open at 8:30 AM. Welcome coffee and tea. \nWe will be sending out a detailed conference package in mid- October. \nA mid-morning snack and lunch will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle. \nWe are looking forward to an inspiring day of exploration and engagement with you. We thank York House School’s generous sponsorship for this year’s conference location. \n* Please note\, all ticket sales are final. Tickets are transferable but Non-refundable.  \nProfessional development certificates will be available following the conference on your account on the Vancouver Reggio Website. Please note: You need to create an account to download your PD certificate. \n \n\n\nSubsidy provided for early childhood educators (BC licensed ECEs and ECEAs) by the Early Childhood Professional Development Fund. Please note: to qualify for the ECE bursary\, registrants must register individually with a home address in BC and complete the questionnaire.  \nThis initiative is partially funded through the Canada-British Columbia Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia\, in partnership with the Westcoast Family Centres (Westcoast)\, the agency responsible for administering the funds. \nOne objective of this agreement is to enhance the quality of licensed child care programs by supporting the training and professional development of early childhood professionals.
